The decay *f *> *g*p*p is described within the U(3) xU(3) chiral Nambu Jona Lasinio model. It is shown that the inclusion of intermediate scalar mesons f&sub(B0)(500) and f&sub(0)(980) plays an important role. All mesons are considered as quark-antiquark states.
