We report the performance characterization of a transmission thermal neutron monitor equipped with a boron carbide (B&sub(4)C) converter, conducted at the REFLEX reflectometer of the IBR-2 pulsed reactor (JINR, Dubna). The time-of-flight, counting, and amplitude characteristics were measured for both reference (1500 nm) and test (20–30 nm) converters. This study extends an ongoing series of tests on a monitor developed for the SEM spin-echo spectrometer at the PIK reactor (NRC KI — PNPI, Gatchina). The monitor with an ultra-thin converter demonstrated a detection efficiency of ∼0.06% at *l = 1.4 Å while maintaining beam transmission above 99%
