Natural isotopes of magnesium, iron, and nickel were irradiated at the LINAC-200 accelerator using bremsstrahlung gamma rays generated in a tungsten converter by 20 MeV electrons. Photon fluences at the positions of the &sup(nat)Mg, &sup(nat)Fe, and &sup(nat)Ni samples were obtained based on simulation results. Yields of the photonuclear reactions &sup(25)Mg(*g, p)&sup(24)Na, &sup(54)Fe(*g, n)&sup(53)Fe, &sup(57)Fe(*g, p)&sup(56)Mn, &sup(58)Ni(*g, n)&sup(57)Ni, &sup(58)Ni(*g, p)&sup(57)Co, &sup(62)Ni(*g, p)&sup(61)Co were determined from gamma-ray spectra measured with a high-purity germanium (HPGe) detector. In order to compare the results with the predicted values, the yield of the above reactions is calculated using the Geant4 code based on the Monte Carlo simulation and the TALYS program. For the above-mentioned (*g ,p) and (*g ,n) photonuclear reactions, the cross sections at the energy E&sub(*g) = 20 MeV are calculated by the quasi-monochromatic method.
