An overview of the MONUMENT experimental programme is given, as well as some additional possibilities not yet fully explored in the study of the ordinary muon capture process. The importance of studying partial capture rates, angular correlations in the process, and the hyperfine K-series splitting of mesorengenic radiation is highlighted. The possibility of astrophysical appli-cations is pointed out, given the similarity between the muon capture process and the scattering of intermediate-energy neutrinos from supernova explosions at the nucleus – (AIP Conference Proceedings ; Vol. 3138) .
