Spontaneous fission and *a-decay from the ground and isomeric states of nuclei &sup(257,256)Sg and &sup(252)Rf are studied within the cluster model. All these decay modes are considered as evolution of a nucleus in the charge (mass) asymmetry coordinate. The decay schemes of &sup(257)Sg and &sup(253)Rf are suggested. For &sup(256)Sg, the half-lives of spontaneous fission and *a-decay from ground and isomeric states are predicted. The problem of describing the half-lives of different states in &sup(252)Rf is emphasized.
