The Crystal and Magnetic Structure of the Casub(3)Co&sub(2)O&sub(6) Manganese-Doped Compound / L.H.Khiem, O.N.Lis, N.T.Nguyen, S.E.Kichanov, E.V.Lukin, T.N.Vershinina, D.P.Kozlenko, [a.o.]. – Text : electronic // Modern Physics Letters B. – 2026. – Vol. 40, No. 7. – P. 2550222. – URL: https://doi.org/10.1142/S0217984926500259.
The crystal and magnetic structures of quasi-one-dimensional spin-chain compounds Ca&sub(3)Co&sub(2−x)Mn&sub(x)O&sub(6) in the range of manganese doping from 0.0 to 1.0 were studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD) at room temperature and neutron powder diffraction in a temperature range of 7–300K. All samples have a rhombohedral crystal structure with space group R3^-c at temperatures between 5K and 100K, and retain their structure over the entire concentration and temperature ranges. A change in the corresponding Co–O interatomic bond lengths indicates that manganese ions predominantly occupy the trigonal prismatic sites in the rhombohedral crystal lattice, leading to a shift in the balance of magnetic interactions and the suppression of the spin-density wave magnetic state at x = 0 . 5 manganese concentrations. Additionally, the Neél temperature T N decreases from 25 (Ca&sub(3)Co&sub(1.5)Mn&sub(0.5)O&sub(6)) to 20K as Mn concentration increased to x = 0 . 4 .
