The 𝛼-decay spectroscopy of *2*4*7Md was investigated via the fusion-evaporation reaction * 2*0*9Bi (*4*0Ar,2𝑛) *2*4*7Md by means of 𝛼-, 𝛾-, and electron-coincidence measurements. While measuring the previously known 𝛼-decay properties, a new isomeric state in *2*4*3Es , the daughter nucleus of *2*4*7Md , with a half-life of 5.0(5)µs was observed. Based on the suggested decay scheme of *2*4*7Md , the new isomer in *2*4*3Es was assigned as the 7/2+[633] Nilsson level, which is the first observation of an isomer in 𝑍=99 Es isotopes. The single-particle structure around the 𝑍=100 deformed shell gap was discussed.
