The study of orientation effects in the interactions of *4*8Ca Ions with well deformed nuclei is presented. Two cases are considered, namely, the reactions with actinides leading to the formation of superheavy systems, as well as with lanthanides in which less fissile composite systems in the region of Hg–Paare formed. The properties of mass and energy distributions of quasifission fragments originated in these reactions are discussed.
