Neutron resonance capture analysis has been applied to determine the elemental composition of an archaeological object provided by the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. This artifact is a fragment of ancient greaves. The experiment was carried out at the Intense Resonance Neutron Source located at the Frank Laboratory of Neutron Physics (Dubna, Russia). The method is nondestructive and does not require any sample preparation. The results of the study are presented
