The thermal neutron capture cross section (*s&sub(0)) and resonance integral (I&sub(0)) of the &sup(63)Cu(n, *g)&sup(64)Cu reaction were re-measured using the activation method, with the &sup(197)Au(n, *g)&sup(198)Au reaction adopted as a reference standard. Neutron irradiations were conducted at the LUE-200 electron linear accelerator–based neutron source. The induced *g-ray activities were quantified by high-resolution *g-ray spectrometry employing an HPGe detector system. A comprehensive set of correction factors, including those accounting for thermal and epi-thermal neutron self-shielding, *g-ray self-absorption, geometrical and others was applied to improve the accuracy of the results. The determination of the reaction parameters was based on the 1345.77 keV g-transition of &sup(63)Cu. The resulting values were *s&sub(0) = (4.3780 *( 0.1804) barn for the thermal neutron capture cross section and I&sub(0) = (5.5869 *( 0.3592) barn for the resonance integral. The obtained results were systematically compared with previously reported data
