Kosarev, M.S.
Effects of Velocity-Dependent Terms in the Skyrme Functional on Fusion Barrier / M.S.Kosarev, N.N.Arsenyev, A.P.Severyukhin. – Text : electronic // International Journal of Modern Physics E. – 2026. – Vol. 35, No. 5 : Selected Papers from Nucleus-2025 (I). – P. 2641001. – URL: https://doi.org/10.1142/S0218301326410016. – Bibliogr.: 41.
The Skyrme energy density functional (EDF) has been applied to the study of entrance barriers for fusion reactions. The nucleus–nucleus interaction potentials are calculated in a double-folding form, utilizing the nucleon density distributions derived from the Skyrme EDFs. It is shown that the altering the velocity-dependent terms in the Skyrme EDF leads to a noticeable improvement in the description of the location of the Coulomb barrier in its maximum. Based on the height of Coulomb barrier obtained, a new set of parameters for the Skyrme interaction has been proposed.
