Production of Tin-Lead Solder Based on Archaeological Lead for Low-Background Experiments / N.T.Temerbulatova, N.A.Mirzayev, D.V.Karaivanov, E.S.Kurakina, A.Baimukhanova, A.V.Rakhimov, S.V.Rozov, D.V.Filosofov, E.A.Yakushev, [a.o.]. – Text : electronic // Journal of Instrumentation. – 2025. – Vol. 20, No. 7. – P. P07021. – URL: https://doi.org/10.1088/1748-0221/20/07/P07021.
The present study reports the production of low radioactive tin-lead solder (at a ratio of 60% to 40%) based on archaeological lead. The solder can be employed in low-background experiments, which search for dark matter and the neutrinoless double beta decay using the bolometric method. The product impurity content has been estimated via low-background gamma spectrometry. The specific activity of the *2*3*8U, *2*3*2Th, and *4*0K isotopes in the synthesized solder was below the minimum detection activity of the spectrometer (*4*0K < 1.24 mBg/kg,*2*3*2Th < 2 mBg/kg and *2*3*8U < 8.6 mBg/kg).
