Hayrapetyan, A.
Observation of the *L*0&sub(b)*>J/*q*X*-K*+ Decay / A.Hayrapetyan, S.Afanasiev, D.Budkouski, I.Golutvin, I.Gorbunov, V.Karjavine, V.Korenkov, N.Krasnikov, A.Lanev, A.Malakhov, V.Matveev, V.Palichik, V.Perelygin, M.Savina, V.Shalaev, S.Shmatov, S.Shulha, V.Smirnov, O.Teryaev, N.Voytishin, B.S.Yuldashev, A.Zarubin, I.Zhizhin, Z.Tsamalaidze, [CMS Collab.] // The European Physical Journal C [Electronic resource]. – 2024. – Vol. 84, No. 10. – P. 1062. – URL: https://doi.org/10.1140/epjc/s10052-024-13114-9. – Bibliogr.: 42.
Using proton–proton collision data correspond- ing to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb&sup(−1) collected by the CMS experiment at √s = 13 TeV, the *L*0&sub(b) *> J/*q*X*-K*+ decay is observed for the first time, with a statistical sig- nificance exceeding 5 standard deviations. The relative branching fraction, with respect to the *L*0&sub(b) *> *q(2S)*L decay, is measured to be B(*L*0&sub(b) →J/*q*x*-k*+//b(*l*0&SUB(B) *> *Q(2s)*l)=[3.38*(1.02*(0.61*(0.03]%, where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is related to the uncertainties in B(ψ(2S) → J/ψπ+π−) and B( *x*− →*lπ*−).
